Key Tips
- Why does my display temperature not match actual platen temperature? Most heat presses have 10-20°F calibration offset between display and platen. Use a laser thermometer on the actual platen to get true temperature. Adjust your working temperature accordingly. If difference is >20°F, the press may need professional recalibration.
- Should I use the same temperature for all fabric colors and substrates? No. White/light fabrics tolerate 330-350°F; dark fabrics should use 300-320°F to avoid scorching. Poly-blends need lower temps than 100% cotton. Ceramics/mugs require 350-400°F for sublimation. Always test on the actual substrate type before full production.
